Football!

College football is here and The White household is ready! I have explained the hoopla to Kennedy and she is pumped! Of course, she is an MSU Bulldog (and EMCC Lion) and has hers cheers ready for watching the season kick off on Saturday. We got all dressed up this morning in our Maroon and White to start of the week on the right foot. I had to have a little photo session with her because she just looked too cute in her Bulldog outfit!

Layouts

WOW! I have just learned that I am a blogging idiot! I need lessons!
Tonight, I was looking through some blogs of friends of friends and realized that my blog stinks! There are some cool bloggers out there but I am not one of them! You can apparently add all kind of very fun and unique things to your blog page, so as I was looking at the blogs of others, I got ambitious and decided that I was going to make my blog cool. How hard could it be? Well .... an hour and a half later, extremely hard!!!! It took me this long just to get my new background. So, enjoy it! Maybe by next week, I can figure out how to add music!

Doctor's Visit

Well, today was Kennedy's 2 month doctor's appointment, which meant the dreaded vaccinations! First of all, she weighed 13 pounds and 8 ounces (95%) and she was 23 1/2 inches long (90%). Her head was 40 cm (90%). She is healthy and everything looked great the doctor said ....

and then they came in to give her the vaccinations. I had a tissue handy and stood in the corner and cried. She let out one big scream and that was it. I couldn't believe it. (I cried more than she did). She was so good and calm. The nurse even commented. (I have to say that Dr. Shirley's nurse who gave the shots was amazing. She did it so fast that it was over in a flash!)

On the way home from the doctor's office, Mark and I got into a conversation about what a good baby Kennedy is and how she got to be that way. He said it was due to good parenting (being organized, keeping her on a schedule and giving her lots of attention). I am not so sure. I tend to think it has more to do with her and her own nature and God giving her nature to us. Maybe God uses the 'ol "I won't give you more than you can handle" addage when "assigning" babies to parents. The parents with lots of patience get the newborn that cries for no reason, the parents that love schedules get the baby that adapts well to a schedule, the parents that need to be needed get the needy baby. Or maybe He knew my apprehension about having a baby and how unsure of myself I was when it came to motherhood and He knew that didn't need to be tested until I had more confidence, so He gave us the perfect baby!

I don't know what the reasoning is but I know one thing, I am so grateful to have such an easy, healthy, wonderful 2 month old little girl!!!

Family

Kennedy recently met some very important family members for the first time. She met her big brother Cade when he came to visit her from Idaho. He was so sweet to her and she was so excited to meet him. You can tell in the pictures that they favor each other. So cute!

Then she traveled to Jackson/Clinton to meet her Aunt Carolyn and cousins Karley and Abby. She loved seeing them too! And as you can tell, she was a big hit!

And for the first time in 2 years, the four cousins were together ... John, Kent, Carolyn and Me (and all of our kids). It was so fun to all be together again. We had to take a family photo.

All that smiling just wore her out ...
