We traveled to see family this Christmas and decided that in order to keep our sanity on the long car ride, we should purchase a DVD player for the car. So, we bought it ... but, it was our only Christmas present to each other. This is when you know you are a bonefide adult - when you and your spouse purchase a present for each other that really isn't for the two of you at all, but for your kid!
It was worth it though. She watched DVD's the whole trip and was happy as could be! I now have dreams of Barney and Caillou, but that is beside the point!
Second key word - Stomach Bug. Doesn't need much explaining, but Kenendy got it the day before we left and passed it on to Mark and myself. It was lovely! Luckily, we didn't pass it on to anymore family.
We had a good Christmas Holiday and enjoyed seeing all of our families. Now on to 2010 ....
