Update on Kennedy!

I just noticed it has been a month since I even mentioned Kennedy on here! What am I thinking? She is great. She is now 8 months old. She went to the doctor today (I thought she had an ear infection but she doesn't.) and she weighs 22 pounds. Here are some updates:

1. She has one tooth and another is peaking through
2. She is waving (just sticks her hand up in the air when you wave at her)
3. She is holding her own bottle and feeding herself
4. She is rolling over both ways and rolling around on the floor (not crawling yet but does like to be on her tummy now)
5. She is talking (baby talk, of course) but she does say Mama!
6. She has big, brown eyes like her mom but looks just like her dad

She is perfect!

First Place!

Go Mighty Lions!
Last night, Mark's basketball team beat the ICC Indians for the second time this season. This win was HUGE for the program for two reasons:
1. EMCC has never in the history of the basketball program, beaten ICC (a consistently nationally ranked team) twice in one season. We did!
2. EMCC has never in the history of the program been ranked #1 in the their division. With the win last night, they are now in first place in their division.

We have 4 more regular season games to play but we have secured our spot in post-season play!

O Happy Day!

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today.
